Configure your Rack with trays
A storage rack with trays - on each of the 4 levels choose the tray size and the number stacked.
Storage rack with bins - a ready-made storage system
The storage rack with bins is a complete station for sorting and storing small steel parts - screws, nuts, connectors, hydraulic fittings, machine components. Four levels of galvanised steel + three sizes of plastic bins make it possible to stock one rack with many product categories, with no compromise on load capacity (up to 400 kg per shelf).
The key detail that sets it apart from a typical shelving rack: the bins stand in two rows back to back - you can use the rack conveniently from both sides and save half of the warehouse floor area. Open-mesh shelves made of Ø5 mm steel wire give full visibility of the bin contents from the level of the next shelf - no more "which bin on which level".
What gives the rack its edge
Six features that set a system rack with bins apart from an ordinary warehouse shelf with cardboard boxes.
Galvanised steel, 400 kg/shelf
Construction made of hot-dip galvanised steel - resistant to moisture, oil and corrosion. Each of the 4 shelves carries up to 400 kg.
3 bin sizes (Type 0-2)
From 17×11×7 cm (small parts) to 30×20×15 cm (larger items) - you choose the size per level and match it to the range being sorted.
Access from two sides
Bins placed back to back in two rows - the rack can be used from both sides, saving warehouse floor area.
Open-mesh shelves Ø5 mm
Shelves made of Ø5 mm steel wire - full visibility of the contents from the level of the next shelf, lower dead weight, easier cleaning.
Stacking up to 3 pieces
Type 0 and 1 bins stacked in piles of 3 (type 2 - no stacking) - full use of the shelf height, more SKUs on the same area.
Bins made of recycled plastic
Recycled plastic resistant to impacts, scratches and workshop chemicals. Operating range −10 to +90 °C.
Who the rack with bins is for
Hydraulic workshops and agricultural machinery service shops use the rack to sort hydraulic fittings, connectors, seals and small steel parts. Typical stocking: type 0 (screws, nuts, washers), type 1 (connectors, fittings), type 2 (small brackets, seals). The rack stands next to the RTB stand with hose coils - a complete set of hydraulic equipment on 2 m² of floor.
Machine parts distributors join racks into long rows with the nit-klick system: 5-10 racks per wall, each with a different range. Two-sided access allows the line to be served from two aisles at the same time - two operators, order picking twice as fast.
OEM production lines (manufacturers of agricultural, forestry and construction machinery) place racks at assembly stations - the operator reaches for components from the nearest bin, without walking to the warehouse. Mobile service crews put one rack in a van - type 0-1 bins hold the small parts needed for 90% of service calls.
Construction and materials
The rack frame is a welded box section made of hot-dip galvanised structural steel - the zinc coating withstands moisture, cleaning agents, hydraulic oil and accidental knocks from tools. The dimensions of 1800 × 1500 × 600 mm are matched to a typical workshop hall and warehouse - the rack does not stand taller than a documentation shelf line and fits between the structural columns in the hall.
The shelves are an open-mesh construction made of Ø5 mm steel wire spot-welded onto a rod frame. The benefit: full visibility of the bin contents from the level of the next shelf (the operator does not have to look under every bin), lower dead weight (easier transport and assembly), and much easier cleaning with compressed air.
Assembly in the nit-klick system - M8 screws plus a klick corner connector. Two people assemble the rack in 25-35 minutes without specialist tools. Joining into rows: the same nit-klick connectors join two racks side by side, creating a uniform warehouse wall with no structural gap.
Three bin sizes - a full gradation of the range
Type 0 (17 × 11 × 7 cm, stack up to 3 pcs) - small warehouse parts: M5-M10 screws, nuts, washers, spring washers, dowel pins, clips. A shelf of the Ratebo system holds 26 type 0 bins (13 in a row × 2 rows), and with 3 pieces per stack - 78 SKUs on one shelf.
Type 1 (25 × 16 × 12 cm, stack up to 3 pcs) - medium small parts: connectors, hose fittings, nipples, reducers, small seals - 18 bins per shelf (9 × 2 rows), 54 SKUs with 3 per stack. Type 2 (30 × 20 × 15 cm, stack up to 1 pc) - larger items: clamps, bands, lugs, hand tools, brackets, components - 14 bins per shelf (7 × 2 rows). All types are made of recycled plastic - resistant to impacts, scratches, oils, preservative acids and temperatures from −10 to +90 °C.
Why a system rack - vs cardboard boxes and vs shelves without bins
Storing small parts in cardboard boxes on shelves is typical practice - cheap, but burdened with hidden costs. Cardboard soaks up oil and moisture, falls apart after 2-3 years, and a marker label smudges at the first contact with a glove. The operator looks for "that box with the DN10 fittings" for several minutes instead of 5 seconds. A rack with bins eliminates this: uniform bins with labels, equal heights, full visibility from the level of the next shelf.
The second common option is a shelving rack without bins (small parts lie loose on the shelf). The problem here is SKUs mixing at the slightest knock - a seal falls in between nuts, clips slide off the shelf onto the floor. A rack with bins gives a physical boundary between categories - an M6 screw will not fall into a bin of M8 nuts.
The third argument: warehouse scalability. A growing range means a new rack placed alongside and joined into a row with the nit-klick system - without interrupting warehouse work, without rebuilding. Modularity that a rack with solid shelves does not offer (where expansion requires moving all of the contents).
Assembly, joining into rows, transport
The rack is delivered disassembled on a EUR pallet - a set of 4 corner uprights, 4 open-mesh shelves, M8 screws, nit-klick connectors and a PDF manual. The pallet fits in a typical delivery van. On-site assembly: two people, 25-35 minutes, M8 socket spanner (included).
Joining into rows takes an additional 5 minutes per rack - shared nit-klick connectors fasten two racks side by side, creating a uniform warehouse wall. Practical limit: 8-10 racks in one row (for stability without anchoring). Longer rows require fastening the end uprights to a wall or anchoring to the floor.
Stability without anchoring for a single rack and rows of up to 4 - wide base (60 cm) and low centre of gravity (the heaviest and largest type 2 bins go on the bottom shelf). For longer rows or areas with heavy forklift traffic we recommend anchoring the first and last upright to the floor (M10 anchor bolts supplied as an option).

Three differences. First - the bins give a physical boundary between SKUs (an M6 screw will not fall in with M8 nuts). Second - two-sided access (bins back to back) allows the rack to be served from two aisles, saving half of the warehouse floor area. Third - open-mesh shelves made of Ø5 mm wire give visibility of the contents from the level of the next shelf, without having to take the bins out.
Type 0 (17×11×7 cm) - small parts: M5-M10 screws, nuts, washers, clips. Type 1 (25×16×12 cm) - medium small parts: hydraulic connectors, hose fittings, nipples. Type 2 (30×20×15 cm) - larger items: clamps, hand tools, bands, semi-finished products, hydraulic components. The full list of sizes is in the "Three bin sizes" section above.
It depends on the configuration of sizes per level. Maximum capacity: 4 levels × 26 type 0 bins (13 in a row × 2 rows) × stacks of 3 = 312 bins of type 0 on one rack (≈ 312 SKUs). An example mixed configuration (type 0 on top: 78, type 1 on the two middle levels: 2 × 54, type 2 at the bottom: 14): 200 bins in total. Configure your own mix in the tool above - you will see the number of bins and the total price.
You choose the mix of types at purchase - we deliver the rack with bins matched to your range. After delivery you can freely swap the positions of bins of the same type between levels (e.g. the most frequently used at waist height). Changing the bin TYPE on a given level requires buying additional bins of a different size as an accessory - the rack itself handles all 3 types without any modifications.
Yes - the nit-klick system joins racks side by side, creating a uniform warehouse wall with no structural gap. The practical limit is 8-10 racks in one row without anchoring to the floor. For longer rows or areas with heavy forklift traffic we recommend fastening the end uprights to a wall or anchoring to the floor (M10 anchor bolts as an option).
Each of the 4 shelves takes up to 400 kg of load - with even distribution over the surface. In practice a full shelf of bins with small steel parts usually does not come anywhere near half of the limit. Full load capacity is only used with heavy steel components (semi-finished products, machine parts) loaded directly onto the shelf without bins.
Yes - M10 anchor bolts (for fixing to the floor), self-adhesive labels for the bins (3 sizes), internal dividers for type 2 bins (internal division into 2 or 4 sections), description plates for the rack uprights (marking of the storage zone), optional anti-slip feet. Buying additional bins when the configuration changes is possible at any time.
