Construction

Layer Description
Inner tube EPDM, black, smooth, electrostatically conductive
Reinforcement Textile plies (spiral): 2 plies, and four in DN32 and DN38
Cover EPDM, black, smooth, conductive, resistant to ozone and weathering, with 3 blue longitudinal stripes

Marking

The hose is marked along its entire length with white lettering continuously inkjet-printed: "SEMPERIT (S) MP 20-EPDM MULTI PURPOSE PN 20 BAR DN +100°C (conditionally +120°C) CONDUCTIVE R < 10⁶ Ohm/m MADE IN EU //////", where "DN" stands for the inside diameter of the given size.

Applications

Very flexible multipurpose hose for conveying compressed air, water and many chemicals in industry and agriculture. It withstands ageing, ozone, weathering and abrasion well, and thanks to the textile reinforcement it is kink resistant. The conductive inner tube prevents the build-up of electrostatic charges.

Notes

The hose must not be used in permanently closed, pressurised systems at temperatures above +100°C, and the medium temperature must be below its boiling point. As the temperature changes, the burst pressure, the safe working pressure and the holding force of the fittings decrease. If in doubt about the medium (chemicals), check the Semperit chemical resistance chart or ask us. The hose can be secured with clamp bands or crimped in ferrules; we sell it in any length.
