SEL hoses in the RATEBO range
SEL is a brand of hydraulic and industrial hoses produced at a plant in Çerkezköy, Turkey, one of the largest hose plants in the world. The brand now belongs to Danfoss Power Solutions, where it operates as the SEL Hose Business Unit. At RATEBO we offer hydraulic hoses from the SEL ULTIMATE line, intended for work at elevated temperatures. ULTIMATE 1SN Blue - single-braid hydraulic hoses with increased thermal resistance, for medium- and low-pressure hydraulic systems.
ULTIMATE 2SN Blue - double-braid hydraulic hoses for medium- and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Both lines work in systems where the temperature does not exceed +135°C, and briefly up to +150°C, in industry, in compressors and in mining. The blue synthetic rubber cover is resistant to oils, abrasion, ozone and ageing.
ULTIMATE 1SN Blue is a single wire braid hydraulic hose with increased thermal resistance - intended for medium and low pressure hydraulic systems in industry, compressors and mining, where operating temperatures do not exceed +150°C. The blue colour version offers all the same technical parameters as the standard version, but with a distinctive outer cover - making it easier to identify installations and visually distinguish hydraulic circuits. Construction: one high-strength steel wire braid, special synthetic rubber resistant to high-temperature hydraulic oils. The ULTIMATE line from a Polish manufacturer is a flagship product compliant with DIN EN 853 1SN, TS 6387, SAE 100 R1 AT/ATS, ISO 1436:2009, ISO 6805, EN 13463-1, EN 1804-3 and ISO 1307.
ULTIMATE 2SN Blue is a double wire braid hydraulic hose with increased thermal resistance - intended for medium and high pressure hydraulic systems in industry, compressors and mining, where operating temperatures do not exceed +150°C. The blue colour version offers all the same technical parameters as the standard version, but with a distinctive outer cover - making it easier to identify installations and visually distinguish hydraulic circuits. Construction: two high-strength steel wire braids, special synthetic rubber resistant to high-temperature hydraulic oils. The ULTIMATE line from a Polish manufacturer is a flagship product compliant with DIN EN 853 2SN, TS 6387, SAE 100 R2 AT/ATS and ISO 1436:2009 / ISO 1307.
Twin (TWIN) thermoplastic high-pressure hose SELSTEEL-1 TWIN with one steel wire braid for synthetic and mineral hydraulic oils and water-based fluids. SEL brand, 3 sizes (DN06-DN10), working pressure 212-287 bar, temperature -40°C to +100°C.
Twin (TWIN) thermoplastic high-pressure hose SELSTEEL-2 TWIN with two steel wire braids for synthetic and mineral hydraulic oils and water-based fluids. SEL brand, 4 sizes (DN06-DN12), working pressure 275-390 bar, temperature -40°C to +100°C.
When choosing a hose, check the type of medium (hydraulic oil), the working temperature, the working pressure with a margin for pressure peaks, the nominal diameter (DN) matched to the flow rate and the minimum bending radius at the installation point. Choose type 1SN with one steel braid for lower pressures, and 2SN with two braids where pressures are higher. The ULTIMATE versions are a good choice wherever lines are exposed to hot oil, for example in compressors and machines working in harsh conditions. About the SEL brand
The SEL brand covers a wide range of hydraulic hoses, including the FORCESTREAM, SUPERSTREAM, ULTRASTREAM, POWERSTREAM, COLDSTREAM (down to -50°C), ULTIMATE (up to +135°C) and ARMADILLO lines, as well as industrial, thermoplastic and PVC hoses. The manufacturer also offers private label solutions for distribution partners. The plant in Çerkezköy covers more than 110,000 m² and employs about 2,000 people, and its production processes are certified, among others, to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
History of the SEL brand
SEL hoses have been made in Çerkezköy, Turkey, for many years. According to local media reports, the plant was acquired in 2012 by the American group Eaton. After Danfoss took over Eaton's hydraulics business, completed on 2 August 2021 for about USD 3.3 billion, SEL became part of Danfoss Power Solutions, the brand's present owner.
Markings on the hoses
SEL ULTIMATE hoses have a print on the cover with the line name and hose type, which makes them easier to identify. In the search you will also find them by SEL catalogue numbers, for example 454.0500 ULT-BLUE (1SN) and 464.0500 ULT-BLUE (2SN).
End fittings, quotations and orders
